Mirnyx is a collaborative group of designers, developers, and marketeers based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Behind every project is our passion for the great outdoors. In the creative world talent is everywhere until you need people who prefer adrenaline over caffeine, Therm-a-Rest's over a pillow tops, or the backcountry over the big city. Mirnyx smashes every stereotype associated with creatives to bring you a mix of talent and adrenaline junkies that know exactly what it's like to blow up a Therm-a-Rest at 10,000 feet in the backcountry.
It's in our DNA
At Mirnyx our involvement in the great outdoors wasn't spawned by a business opportunity. It was handed down from generation to generation, you could say it's in our DNA. As kids we climbed trees and hunted snakes in the backyard. As adults we climb mountains and hunt brown bears in Alaska. Not much has changed except the size of the adventure.
Our Name
Mirnyx | 'meer-nix'
Mirnyx is taken from the name Miracinonyx, a little known predator that hunted North America over 10,000 years ago. Miracinonyx would have been a true super predator with Cougar size and Cheetah speed. Miracinonyx is thought to be the reason Pronghorn Antelope evolved to run 60 miles per hour, significantly faster than traditional North American predators such as Cougars or Wolves.
